Paradise

Think about Paradise. What comes to mind? Palm trees, blue/green beaches with white sands and coconuts…and when you get to such a place and meet a local, you always think to yourself how amazing it would be to live here, to experience the serenity, beauty and glorious sunsets every single day.

Have you ever asked a local this question? I did. The answer wasn't surprising: “I haven’t set foot in the water for 2 years. Sunsets? Aren't they the same everywhere? and Coconuts? No thank you.

I asked him what his idea of paradise was to which he replied: “Somewhere you can ride the train from suburb to suburb, town to town, somewhere with skyscrapers and giant cinemas that play Hollywood blockbusters.

Paradise is here…and now. It’s all about perspective.
