So what is it about LSD?
While the drug induced effects are well documented and similarities are notable across many experiences, to me, it is latter effects that prove to be most eye-opening. By latter effects I refer to an elapsed period of several days to several weeks post ingestion at which point the mind has had a time to partially recover from the damaging effects of the drug (memory, concentration, thought process, etc.)
In a way Acid (taken in the right context) allows me to experience the world through the eyes of a different version of myself; one who is sometimes without certain inhibitions, and other times someone whose thoughts and actions are not influenced by specific perceptions, beliefs or ideologies (alternatively someone whose thoughts and actions are influenced by impersonal, unbounded perceptions). Several days following this type of Trip, these experiences allow me to see certain aspects of the world in a different light, leading to the formation of novel or restructured perceptions and ideas.
If a person is in the process or is trying to self actualise, then the Trip allows them to momentarily experience what it that they want OR how it is that they want to act/feel/be...and later grants them the insight, determination and courage to take the necessary steps to achieve their goals.
My goal is to free myself from personal inhibitions because the life that I have worked to create is not as joyous as it should be. The ONLY thing that inhibits my happiness is me.
